Bayou La Batre, Alabama’s Seafood Capital
We are located in Bayou La Batre, where some of the country’s best seafood comes from. You’ll get to enjoy some of the freshest seafood while you’re here. It’s also possible to plan a shrimp boat tour on the harbor and Mississippi Sound.
Bellingrath Gardens
Located on a 10-acre estate, Bellingrath Gardens is home to beautiful garden located on the Fowl River. The home, over 10,000 sq ft, was constructed by Walter Bellingrath, former president of Mobile’s Coca Cola bottling plant. There are self guided tours and also a boat ride along the Fowl River showcasing the fauna and wildlife.
Dauphin Island
We are only 25 minutes from Dauphin Island, a barrier reef island with a storied past. This island has several attractions including a beach, a historic fort, and a sea lab. Fort Gaines, built in 1821, is most well known for its part in the civil war battle of Mobile Bay. Whether visiting the sea lab, walking through Ft Gaines, or relaxing on the beach, Dauphin Island provides plenty of opportunities.
